Guitar Center instructor arrested for child molestation

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (FOX 11) - A Guitar Center employee was arrested in Riverside for allegedly committing a lewd act on a child.

According to Riverside Police, the suspect, Nathaniel Hernandez, committed a lewd act on a child under the age of 14.

Hernandez worked at the Guitar Center on Canyon Springs Parkway and police say he taught a number of people including children.

Detectives are now seeking the public's help in finding any other potential victims.

A former coworker posted a video on Facebook that has gone viral criticizing how the store handled the situation.

Guitar Center gave the following statement: "We are profoundly troubled and saddened by this situation and we are deeply sorry for the trauma that customers, associates and anyone else may be feeling as a result. We are conducting a full investigation and will take all appropriate actions. We are also working closely with law enforcement in its investigation of this matter."
