Glendale police searching for man who attacked fiancée and her mother with hammer

Glendale Police continue to search for the suspect who attacked his fiancée and her mother with a hammer. 

On Wednesday, they announced a $15,000 reward is being offered for anyone with information leading to an arrest. 

The attacks happened on July 19, at a house on the 600 block of W. Wilson Ave. 

Police say 29-year-old Brian Cruz struck his fiancée in the face and head several times with a hammer. According to the police department, the victim suffered several bone fractures to her face and skull. She had broken bones in her hand and had a finger amputated.  

Police say the victim’s mother was also struck in the head with a hammer when she tried to intervene. 

Cruz is described as 5’11 inches and approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is possibly driving a black GMC Sierra pickup truck with a black license plate number BCG1129. Police say Cruz has family in Palmdale and Puebla, Mexico.
