Four children taken to hospital after a vehicle crash in Vermont Knolls

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Emergency crews and law enforcement were called to the 8300 block of South Hoover Street in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood on Wednesday for a reported vehicle crash involving children.

Los Angeles police say the initial call at about 2:30 p.m. reported up to five children that had been hit by a vehicle as they were walking in the crosswalk. The driver stayed at the scene.

Four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, all children, according to a tweet by the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No further details were immediately known.
