Flood Advisory issued for Monday's storm over L.A. County

The National Weather Service issued a Flood Advisory on Monday for parts of Los Angeles County until 5:45 p.m.

"The storms over LA County are producing significant lightning and heavy downpours," the NWS tweeted.

The heavy rainfall is expected to impact on roadways during the afternoon commute, including the 210 Freeway and Interstate 5.

Locations that will experience flooding include Pasadena, Mount Wilson, Universal City, Burbank, Glendora, Altadena, Glendale, Sunland, La Canada area, and Eagle Rock, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS advises that when encountering flooded roads, turn around immediately. Most flood deaths happen in vehicles.
