Five injured in grim two-vehicle crash in Koreatown
LOS ANGELES - One person was extricated from a vehicle after it wrapped around a light pole and four others suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Koreatown on Friday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the 4500 block of Beverly Boulevard, near the intersection of Western Avenue at about 5:05 a.m. They immediately worked to extricate the trapped victim, said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
That person was taken to a hospital in fair condition. Two others involved in the crash were listed in critical conditions and two others were listed in serious condition, Prange said.
No further details were immediately known.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
