First LAPD officer dies from COVID-19
LOS ANGELES - Erica McAdoo, a senior detention officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, has died from complications related to the coronavirus, the department said Saturday.
McAdoo died Friday, the department announced.
She is believed to be the first LAPD officer to die from COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

LAPD officials said there are 287 department employees who are currently at home after having been exposed to, or have tested positive for, COVID-19.
