Firefighters battling 1000-acre brush fire in Riverside; mandatory evacuation order lifted

Riverside County firefighters and CAL Fire are battling a fast-moving 1000-acre brush fire in Riverside with thirty-percent containment.

Dubbed the 'Blaine Fire' is burning near Box Springs Mountain that originated at 300 Blaine Street.

The fire department says that about 20 houses in the area are threatened and mandatory evacuations have been lifted near Pigeon Pass Road.
