Fans, Police Ready for SEC Championship Game

Thousands of Alabama and Florida football fans are ready for Saturday's SEC Championship game. Atlanta Police say they're ready as well.

Fans should expect an increased police presence both inside and outside the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center.

The SEC said that a "clear bag" policy will be enforced, similar to rules for NFL games.

Fans are urged to only bring "clutch-type" bags and to expect long lines for security screening at entrance doors. Clutch-type bags should be no larger that 4.5" x 6.5" and can have a strap.

Small cameras and smartphones will be allowed inside the event.

Police also ask the public to let them know if they notice any suspicious activity.

Extra security will also be in place for the SEC FanFare event at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The University of Alabama faces the Florida Gators Saturday in the SEC Championship Game.
