Emergency crews on scene of two stranded hikers reported in Malibu area

MALIBU, Calif. - Emergency crews were called out to reports of two stranded hikers Monday night in the area of Tuna Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says the call for two lost female hikers came in at about 8:47 p.m.

Air support was also called to assist ground crews with the search. It's unknown if the hikers are injured.

No further details were immediately known.
