Dramatic hit-and-run in Loma Linda captured on video

A dramatic hit-and-run was captured on video in Loma Linda, and police were seeking the public's help Thursday to locate the driver.

It happened at 8:50 a.m. on Aug. 14. You can see a semi-truck towing a shipping container, barreling down Mountain Avenue near the 10 Freeway.

It was speeding in the middle lane when it clipped the rear of a small red car and pushed it toward oncoming traffic. The BMW traveling southbound could not get out of the way, and both cars crashed at full speed.

Three people suffered serious injuries. The driver of the car fled the scene.

Mike Flannery and his girlfriend Erika Zarate were in the BMW. Concerned the investigation is going nowhere, they are offering a $5,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the driver.

You can contact this number for more information on the reward: (760) 799-1937. You can also contact the Redlands Police Department.
