(FOX 11) - A 50-year-old man who suffered an injury Thursday while atop a 270-foot crane in downtown Los Angeles was rescued in a helicopter hoist operation.
Rescuers were sent about 1:30 p.m. to 825 S. Hill St., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Paramedics made their way to the man before he was hoisted into helicopter, she said.
About an hour after the crisis began, the unidentified victim was in fair condition while en route to a hospital, Stewart said.
