Crews battle wildfire near Fillmore; more than 100 acres burned
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (FOX 11) - Fire crews spent much of Sunday knocking down a wildfire in Ventura County.
The 'South Fire' broke out on the 21600 block of South Mountain Road in Fillmore around 11:45 a.m.
Approximately 131 acres have burned.
The Ventura County Fire Department says the cause of the fire was determined to be target practice on a private property.
Around 6 p.m. crews were busy cleaning up small pockets of vegetation.
Luckily, the fire is burned away from any structures the fire department said.
