Crestline man accused of killing 16-year-old from Twin Peaks

A 36-year-old Crestline man is behind bars accused of killing a 16-year-old from Twin Peaks on Dec. 14.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station found the victim, identified as Kaleb Aurelio, 16, down in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of Deer Trail suffering from a gunshot wound. Aurelio was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators identified 36-year-old Joshua Camacho as the suspect and served a search warrant at his home in the 700 block of Big Oak Road in Cresline on Dec. 15.

The Sheriff's Department says investigators found evidence linking Camacho to the killing during the home search.

Authorities located Camacho at a home in Orange County and taken to San Bernardino Sheriff's headquarters. He was booked into the Central Division Center on murder charges.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
