Coast guard ends search for missing fisherman off Ventura Harbor

(FOX 11) - The U.S. Coast Guard said Saturday the search had been called off for missing fisherman Chris Gregory after his boat capsized off the Ventura Harbor.

Emergency crews responded at about 8:40 p.m. Friday to the small boat capsized just north of Ventura Harbor.

Authorities said the boat was carrying Gregory, 60, and another passenger, who was able to swim to shore uninjured and alerted authorities.

Rescue crews from multiple agencies searched through the night. Divers were later ordered out of the water when one of them bumped into a juvenile great white shark.
