Charter boat captain spots great white shark off Florida coast
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The crew on board a charter fishing boat spotted a great white shark swimming alongside its boat this weekend off the coast of Florida.
It happened near Jacksonville. The shark took a big bite out of the red snapper the fishermen were reeling in. "We were bottom fishing when I hooked the red snapper. As I was reeling the snapper up, the shark bit it before I could get it out of the water," said Capt. Chad Starling.
Captain Starling who runs "Team Buck Rogers," says he is used to seeing sharks, but only the second time he's come face-to-face with a great white.
Starling has been chartering fishing trips for ten years.
