Celine Dion's husband René Angélil dies at 73

(FOX 11) - Rene Angelil, the husband of singer Celine Dion, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 73.

Dion posted a message to fans on her Twitter account saying her husband died Thursday morning at their home in Las Vegas after a "long and courageous battle against cancer."

"The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time," she added.
