Car chase ends in Canyon Country, suspect allegedly wanted for carjacking
LOS ANGELES - A car chase in Canyon Country ended with the suspect fleeing their vehicle and attempting to escape on foot.
SkyFox was over the scene near Acton when the suspect led the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department on a high-speed chase Tuesday, Oct 24.
The suspect was driving a silver pickup truck and was allegedly wanted for carjacking, according to officials.
The driver could be seen weaving between freeways and side streets, hitting speeds as high as over 90 mph.
After attempting to speed away at a stop light, the driver ended up hitting the vehicle in front of them, giving authorities time to close in from behind.
The suspect then took off on foot, running into traffic and toward a parking lot, where they were eventually detained by authorities.
