Brush fire forces evacuations near Silverwood Lake

Some Fourth of July Campers near SIlverwood Lake in the San Bernardino National Forest had the their holiday cut short by a brush fire Tuesday afternoon.

The Silverwood campground was evacuated after a fire broke out just before 2 p.m..

The Silver fire has burned 15 to 20 acres and it also forced the closure of highway 138 in both directions.

The blaze was apparently started by a car fire.
