LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Firefighters were battling a brush fire in Lake View Terrace that broke out shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 11400 block of W. Foothill Boulevard.
The fire reportedly scorched about two acres near Hansen Dam in light to medium fuels and light wind, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fire crews mounted an aggressive attack on the ground and on the air with several water drops. No structures are threatened.
At about 8:50 p.m., the fire department said forward progress on the fire was stopped and crews were ordered to remain on scene to mop up. One teen was found with unknown injuries and is receiving medical attention.
A search was conducted at a nearby homeless encampment for anyone else that may have been injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No further details were immediately known.
