Body of woman pulled from California Aqueduct after crash in Hesperia
HESPERIA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A woman died early Friday in Hesperia after her car crashed into the California Aqueduct.
Family members said the 24-year-old, identified as Xanthel Linares of Hesperia, called her mother from the vehicle telling her the car was filling with water and she needed help.
The family immediately called 911 and emergency crews responded to the scene. Her vehicle was recovered just before 3 a.m.
Authorities said she lost control of the vehicle around midnight.
A GoFundMe has been created to help cover funeral expenses.
