Body found in Huntington Beach ID'd as missing man

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CNS) - A body found in the Huntington Harbor was identified Saturday as a man reported missing from Huntington Beach on Dec. 31.

The announcement of the identification was made on the Orange County Sheriff's Department's Twitter account.

The department's spokesman, Lt. Jeff Hallock, could not be reached for further comment. A public information officer with the Huntington Beach Police Department also could not be reached for immediate comment.

The grim discovery in the Huntington Harbor was made about 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
