Authorities investigating discovery of body at Griffith Park as homicide

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Authorities say foul play is involved in the death of a woman whose body was discovered at Griffith Park Tuesday morning.

Park rangers discovered the body wrapped in a blanket or sleeping bag at about 11 a.m. along Red Oak Drive, according to investigators. Authorities say the woman is between 30-40 years old.

Homicide detectives remain on scene canvassing for more clues and evidence.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
