Allegiant Airlines announces nonstop flights from LAX to Las Vegas starting at $39

Allegiant Airlines is making it easier for Los Angeles residents to take a getaway trip to Las Vegas.

On Tuesday, the discount airline announced that beginning in June, travelers can book one-way tickets from Los Angeles International Airport to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas for as low as $39.

According to the company, the new flights are scheduled to operate twice-weekly and travelers must purchase their tickets between Feb. 13 and Aug. 13 to receive the low fare.

"We're very excited to connect these two cities for the first time in Allegiant history," said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue.
