Alhambra Police help homeless vet move into apartment

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (FOX 11) - The Alhambra Police Department posted a photo to Facebook on Wednesday showing two officials with a local transient named Kevin who is also a veteran.
The Facebook post says that the Alhambra Homeless Outreach and Mental Evaluation Team worked tirelessly to reach out to Kevin and with the help of service organizations, Kevin and his dog were able to move into an apartment before Christmas.
The post says, "Kevin is happy with his new accommodations and thanked Officer Gonzalez and Ms. Follett from Union Station Outreach for their help."
The Alhambra Peace Officers Association provided Kevin with gift cards to Ralph's, Kohl's and Pet Smart and a city employee gave him a gift card to Target.
