Activists call for arrest of Democratic donor after 2nd man dies in his WeHo apartment

For the second time in less than two years, a man has been found dead inside the apartment of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck. LA County sheriff's detectives in West Hollywood are investigating. While community activists say Buck is responsible for the deaths of those men, Buck's attorney tells a different story.

Community activists planning to hold a rally here off of Laurel Avenue to call for the prosecution of Ed Buck. He lives in this West Hollywood apartment building.

And for the second time in less than two years somebody has died inside his apartment. The latest incident happening early Monday morning.

The photo courtesy of Wehoville shows the moment a body was taken from the West Hollywood apartment of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck around three am this morning and its not the first time this has happened.

In July 2017 a male escort Gemmell Moore was also found dead in Buck's apartment.

The medical examiner later determined he died as a result of an accidental meth overdose.

Moore had written in his journal that Ed Buck had injected him with crystal meth for the first time that it hurt and that he was becoming addicted to the pain.

He also wrote 'If it didn't hurt so bad I'd kill myself, but I'll let Ed Buck do it for now.'

Only FOX 11 obtained surveillance video revealing the moment Moore's body was taken away while Ed Buck spoke with deputies responding to the scene.

At one point another man can be seen showing up to try to come up to Buck's apartment until deputies tell him to leave.

In July 2018 prosecutors declined to press charges against Buck over Moore's death saying there was insufficient evidence to prove Buck was responsible for his death.

In light of the death at Buck's apartment early Monday morning the LA County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau is now investigating and is also conducting a secondary review of the circumstances surrounding Gemmell Moore's death.

When Gemmell Moore died summer of 2017, Ed Buck's attorney told FOX 11 Moore was a close friend of Buck and that his death was a tragedy. But that Buck was not responsible for it.

As for the death this morning Buck's attorney tells us:

'Unfortunately, a tragic death happened at Ed Buck's apartment. It was a longtime friend who came over. Unfortunately, the longtime friend was under the influence, when he arrived. He started to exhibit bizarre behavior and symptoms requiring medical assistance. Ed called 911, paramedics arrived and they were unable to resuscitate him.'
