3 rescued after bungee jump ride malfunctions at Ventura County Fair

(FOX 11) - The Ventura County Fair opened on Wednesday and got off to a rocky start with rescue crews having to come in and save a guy hanging upside down 30 feet above ground.

Something went wrong with the bungee jump ride and he was swinging there for about 20 minutes. But witnesses say he was waving and clapping and doing crunches.

Two other people were stuck in the bungee cage and also needed to be rescued.

Officials say all three of them are just fine. No word on what went wrong with the ride.
