2 Texas men charged with murder in Tarzana fatal shooting
LOS ANGELES - Two men have been charged with the shooting death of a 24-year-old Indianapolis man in Tarzana Sept. 21.
24-year-old Allen Asenuga and 28-year-old Michael Agboola, both from Huston, Texas, face one murder charge and two robbery charges. Asenuga is also facing a special circumstance allegation of committing a murder during the course of a robbery, according to court documents.
Jeancarlos De La Rosa was shot along the 18200 block of Sugarman Street soon after arriving at an Airbnb. Authorities say De La Rosa was in L.A. to celebrate a birthday and was part of a group renting the home.
The Los Angeles Police Department says De La Rosa and a friend were sitting inside their car when they were approached by three men who tried to rob them. During the incident, a shooting occurred.
LAPD officers responded to Sugarman Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. De La Rosa was rushed to the hospital where he died the next day. He leaves behind a 2-year-old son and a newborn daughter, according to an obituary.
