1 person wounded in South L.A. officer-involved shooting

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Los Angeles police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in South L.A. Friday night.
Officers converged on the 4700 block of Budlong Avenue, near W. 47th Street at about 9:42 p.m. One person was wounded in the officer-involved shooting, according to LAPD.
No officers were injured.
The initial call came in as an officer needing help as a large crowd fight broke, LAPD said.
Aerial images from SkyFOX showed a large police presence near Vermont Square Park. The investigation is ongoing. The public is asked to avoid the area.
