Record heat in part of Los Angeles Sunday

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Record high temperatures were set in part of Los Angeles on Sunday, the National Weather Service said.

The high temperature of 104 in Woodland Hills was two degrees hotter than the forecast, of 102, and set a new record for this date.

The high temperature of 99 degrees at Long Beach was also a record.
