Crews are working to restore service to these areas.

Emergency crews have also responded to multiple calls of tree branches falling on cars, downed power lines, and trees falling on homes.

In San Gabriel, a downed power pole closed the area of San Marino Avenue and Broadway and surrounding streets. And in Baldwin Park, crews are working to remove a tree that fell into a house in the 14000 block of Benbow Street. No injuries have been reported.

In Mid-City, a tree fell onto the westbound 10 freeway just before the Crenshaw Boulevard exit blocking at least two lanes. Traffic is heavily impacted and drivers should expect delays.

A High Wind Warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Wednesday for Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

A Wind Advisory will remain in effect from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Wind gusts up to 70 mph are expected into Wednesday morning in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be strongest through the 5 freeway corridor.

Crosswinds can make driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. The National Weather Service advises residents impacted by the winds to use extra caution when driving and secure all loose outdoor furniture.
