3.1 earthquake rattles areas north of Gardena
GARDENA, Calif. (FOX 11 / USGS) - A small earthquake rattled the area around Gardena on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The 3.2-magnitude temblor struck at 7:43 a.m. at a depth of around 6 miles, its epicenter in unincorporated Athens, 1 mile north of Gardena, according to a computer-generated report from the USGS.
Authorities in Gardena say there have been no calls of injuries or damage as a result of the quake.
