California counties ease restrictions as COVID-19 cases fall

Nearly half of California’s 40 million people are living in areas where coronavirus restrictions are easing and some of the largest counties are preparing to expand movie theater and restaurant reopenings despite worries about a new surge.

New CDC study deems COVID-19 vaccines as 'highly effective'

In a study of nearly 4,000 working adults, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that vaccines reduced the risk of infection by 80% after one shot.  The risk of infection was dropped even lower following a second dose.
