LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - LAPD is investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman that occurred in an East Hollywood neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Los Angeles police officers from the Hollywood Division responded to the 900 block of N. Oxford Avenue at about 2:21 p.m. for a shooting call. Arriving officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, LAPD said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
LAPD says the gunman took off on foot in an unknown direction. They describe the suspect as possibly a Hispanic male wearing shorts and a blue shirt. No arrests have been made at this time.
It's unknown if the suspect and victim knew each other but police say they don't believe this was a random attack.
