Woman says 'thank you' to power crew with Chick-fil-A

Line workers and power crews have been busy all across Georgia trying to quickly and safely restore every single one of the more than 1.5 million who lost power thanks to Irma on Monday.

As of Wednesday, Georgia Power and the Georgia EMCs reported they were more than two-thirds of the way to putting everyone back on the grid.

In Fayette County, off State Road 34, FOX 5's Doug Evan caught up with some of those line workers while doing a story about school closures.

The workers told him a woman randomly approached them with a sack full of Chick-fil-A sandwiches as a way to say thank you to them for their continued hard work.

The crew said they appreciated the support the community has given them these long few days.
