Wanted man arrested in Anaheim after short pursuit
ANAHEIM, Calif. (FOX 11) - Orange County Sheriff's deputies working in unincorporated Anaheim arrested a wanted man early Sunday morning following a brief pursuit.
Shortly after midnight, deputies attempted to stop the suspect, who was riding his bicycle at the time, for a vehicle code violation, according to authorities.
The man continued riding his bicycle refusing to obey the deputies' orders. However, at one point, authorities say the suspect crashed into an electrical box causing him to fall off the bicycle.
"The suspect got up and continued running, this time by foot. After a short chase, the suspect was taken into custody," said the Sheriff's Office North Patrol division on a statement posted on their Facebook page.
Deputies discovered the suspect had a no-bail warrant out for his arrest, and found methamphetamine, a pipe, and a hypodermic syringe with meth in the suspect's possession, according to the Facebook post.
The suspect was not immediately identified but authorities.
