Video: Man attacks woman walking down the street in El Monte

EL MONTE, Calif. (FOX 11) - Authorities are searching for a suspect who attempted to sexually assault a young woman in the early hours of Sunday morning in El Monte.

According to El Monte Police, the attack occurred around midnight near the intersection of Tyler Avenue and Brockway Street. Authorities said that the victim was walking down the street when a male suspect grabbed her from behind. Survellience video showed the two struggle for a moment before the suspect pulled the victim out of sight.

Investigators say that the victim was able to fight back, free herself from the suspect and escape.

Once she was free she contacted police regarding the incident.
