VIDEO: Good Samaritan fatally shot trying to break up fight in El Monte gas station parking lot

Newly released security video shows two men wanted in the fatal shooting of a good Samaritan outside of a convenience store over the weekend.

According to police, Angel Rosas, 38, was killed on Saturday night after witnesses said he tried to intervene in a fight between two men, who fled the scene in mid-sized sedan.

Security cameras at the 7-Eleven, located in the 10000 block of Valley Boulevard, captured the entire confrontation, police said. The video showed three men, two of them appeared to be surrounding the victim. Police said at some point, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot Rosas in the chest at a close range. Two of the men ran off to a parked car waiting in front of the gas station, the third could be seen running in the opposite direction.

A short time later, the video showed one of the two suspects ran back to Rosas and shot him again in the chest at close range, leaving him to die in the parking lot of the gas station.
