Los Angeles-based VersaDesk gets creative to stay afloat during the pandemic

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles-based company is ramping up its production of plexiglass screens and other protective equipment to help fortify local businesses in a COVID-19 economy.

For two decades, VersaDesk has constructed innovative desks and office equipment. When the pandemic hit, people fled their offices and the demand for office furniture vanished.

Now, VersaDesk is manufacturing customized plexiglass screens and sneeze guards.

The company is also manufacturing personal hygiene stations to store masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and tissues.

Changing its business model enabled the company to keep its more than 100 employees keep their jobs.
