Vehicle collides with Metro Blue Line train in downtown L.A.

One person was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon following a crash between a vehicle and a Metro Blue Line train in downtown Los Angeles.

The collision occurred in the 1700 block of South Los Angeles Street just after 2:30 p.m.

The person hurt was not immediately identified but the Los Angeles Fire Department says that person suffered a minor injury.

No injuries were reported aboard the train as firefighters assisted approximately 120 passengers off the train, according to the fire department.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No further details were immediately known.
