Truck fire spreads to brush along Cajon Pass
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (FOX 11) - A fast-moving fire burned 100-acres Friday morning in the Cajon Pass.
What started as a truck fire quickly moved to nearby brush, causing structure threats in the Devore Heights area, according to officials.
Dubbed the Box Fire, it was first estimated at 10-acres around 10 a.m. and jumped to 100-acres by about 11 a.m. according to The San Bernardino National Forest.
The fire was at 15 percent containment, Cal Fire tweeted just after 2 p.m.
No evacuations were immediately issued, but two lanes of 1-15 northbound and roads into Devore Heights were closed.
