Trader Joe's recalls pistachios due to Salmonella scare
(FOX 11) - Trader Joe's is voluntarily recalling some of its in-shell, roasted pistachios due to Salmonella concerns. The company says it was alerted by its suppliers that pistachios with "best if used by" dates from October 27, 2016 through November 4, 2016 may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The products include: Trader Joe's Dry Roasted and Unsalted Pistachios, Trader Joe's Dry Roasted & Salted Pistachios, and Trader Joe's 50% Less Salt Roasted & Salted Pistachios.
The products come in 16 oz plastic bags and they were distributed to Trader Joe's nationwide. They have been pulled from store shelves while the issue is investigated.
If you purchased these pistachios you can return them to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
