Suspect arrested in connection to woman's body found in WeHo dumpster

A 29-year-old transient was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a trash container in West Hollywood nearly two weeks ago.

Abdulla Tario Camran was arrested by Pomona police just after 11 a.m. as the result of a tip, a day after the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department put out a call for the public's help in locating him.

He's suspected in the death of 28-year-old Joie Nicole Kinney, whose body was discovered July 6 in the 8700 block of Beverly Boulevard. The sheriff's department has not released the cause of death.

Camran has been known to frequent homeless encampments throughout Los Angeles and the West Hollywood area, according to the sheriff's department.

He's being held without bail and is due in court in Pomona on Thursday, according to sheriff's online inmate records.
