Suspect armed with sword fatally shot by LAPD officers in North Hollywood
LOS ANGELES - A neighbor dispute suspect allegedly armed with a "sword-type weapon" was killed Wednesday morning in an officer-involved shooting in North Hollywood.
Officers were sent to the 6400 block of Elmer Avenue at about 10:45 a.m. on a report of a neighbor dispute, and they arrived to find a man allegedly armed with a sword-type weapon, "at which point an officer-involved shooting occurred," according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, and officers recovered the weapon, police said.
No officers were injured during the incident.
