Stolen Pomeranian returned to professional soccer player

A dog that was stolen during a home burglary in Hollywood Hills was returned to his owner, professional soccer player Daniel Sturridge, on Wednesday.

The striker recently played for Liverpool and the English national team.

Sturridge shared a video of his puppy playing with what appeared to be one of his favorite stuffed toys hours after his safe return.

He also thanked his millions of followers for helping aid in his safe return.

"Thanks to everyone worldwide for the support. We're so grateful for you all," he said.

Sturridge pleaded for the safe return of his dog in multiple Instagram posts Tuesday after his home was burglarized while he was out bowling with friends. Surveillance video from the home showed three men wearing hoods taking four bags worth of Sturridge's belongings.

He offered a reward for the return of his beloved pup that he's had for two years.

"Listen, whoever knows who broke into my crib, I'll pay you anything," he said in one video that showed shattered glass as a result of the burglary.

"Lucci," has his own Instagram account and is the only Pomeranian in the world with Husky markings, according to the account.

Authorities did not immediately release details surroundings the dog's return.
