Stolen car crashes into Metro Gold Line train in LA
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - A stolen vehicle collided with a Metro Gold Line train Wednesday evening in the 100 block of North Avenue 56, near the Highland Park Station after being followed by police.
The stolen car ended up crashing into a nearby building. The driver was taken into police custody, according to officials. Three girls were also in the suspect car at the time of the crash, police said.
Authorities say an injured female passenger was taken to the hospital with back pain. A second vehicle was involved in the collision.
Metro trains service was stopped between the Southwest Museum and the South Pasadena stations due to the crash. Buses were used to accommodate passengers. Service was restored shortly before 7 p.m.
