Son, murder suspect arrested for death of Garden Grove woman

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - The son and homicide suspect in the death of a 62-year-old Garden Grove woman has been arrested.
Garden Grove police say 28-year-old Jonathan Michael Warner was arrested on Thursday afternoon near the area of 9th Street and College Street in the city of Garden Grove after a brief foot chase.
A witness recognized Warner from news reports and immediately contacted police. Officers located Warner and attempted to speak with him when he assaulted one of the officers before running away, police said.
Warner confessed to the murder of his mother, 62-year-old Vivian Wolff, according to the Garden Grove Police Department. He was booked at Orange County Jail.
Wolff was discovered dead at a home in the 14000 block of Flower Street in Garden Grove. The victim had stab wounds when officers discovered her.
The investigation is ongoing.
