Skydiver dies after crashing into big rig on California highway

LODI, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a skydiver in Lodi.
Officials say the 28-year-old woman died after crashing into a big rig on Highway 99 near the Lodi Airport.
CHP says she and six others jumped from the airplane, however, the woman was blown off course. Her identity has not been released.
There have been several other fatalities and violations at the Lodi Parachute Center. From 1999 to 2018, 16 people have died jumping from planes that took off from the center.
