Sherman Oaks resident confronts transient man bathing in jacuzzi

A Sherman Oaks man recorded himself as he confronted a transient man he caught bathing in his townhouse complex's jacuzzi early Tuesday morning.

It happened at the Coldwater Villas in Sherman Oaks around 7:30 am.

Val Raybukh told FOX 11 the transient man urinated on private property, then hopped a fence to get into the pool area, and began bathing. He began recording as the man put his clothes back on.

"When I first caught him he was half dressed, still wearing pants," Raybukh said. "I asked him what he is doing and why he is here, and then I start recording."

As Raybukh makes comments to the man while filming, he responds and says that he is a part owner of the property.

"He might be law enforcement, he might be military, he might be visiting, he might be a student, but he looks pretty clean now whatever he is," the man says to Raybukh.

"I hope you're not gonna come back, right?" Raybukh says.
"Umm, it's none of your concern man, how you approached me is kind of rude," the man replies.

The man covered up his face as he walked out of the pool area.

Raybukh provided photos to FOX 11 showing the jacuzzi full of bubbles from the soap the man used. He said he called a pool technician to come disinfect it due to concerns about Hepatitis C.

"It's disgusting, I don't know how im going to allow my kids and family members to use the jacuzzi even if it was disinfected," Raybukh said.

He told FOX 11 that transients trespass on the property several times each week, and that many of them gather across the street near the LA River.

He said police were called about the man in the jacuzzi, but they never showed up, and he's beginning to feel like the transients have more rights than the homeowners.

"We're angry and we're frustrated, we don't know how to defend ourselves in our own neighborhood," he said.
