Several southbound 101 Freeway lanes closed in Sherman Oaks due to fire

Several traffic lanes of the southbound 101 Freeway near Woodman Avenue in the Sherman Oaks area are shut down Thursday night due to a tree that caught on fire on the side of the freeway.

One lane is open as of 10:48 p.m. Drivers should expect delays. It's unknown when the freeway will fully reopen.
