After months of insulting minority voters, Donald Trump is now switching gears. He's coming to a black church in Detroit church this Labor Day weekend as part of his new effort to win the support of minority voters.
Earlier this week, the bishop who will host Trump told FOX 2 his hosting is not an endorsement of Trump, and that he has some tough questions to ask him on Saturday. But a New York Times report just leaked a draft of the completely scripted interview, showing his campaign is leaving nothing to chance.
The Times released portions of the 8-page script draft Thursday.
The script was allegedly prepared by Trump's campaign staff with the help of black Republican consultants.
One of the leaked questions Bishop Wayne T. Jackson of Great Faith Ministries will ask is whether his campaign is racist.
Trump will reportedly respond:
Bishop Jackson will also reportedly ask if Trump is a Christian, and if he believes the Bible is an inspired word of God.
Trump will respond to that:
Other questions the bishop will ask are about Trump's vision for black America, and how Trump's administration would bring down the racial tension in the country.
The taped interview will air sometime in the coming weeks on Bishop Jackson's Impact Network.
